What is Juvéderm Volbella®?
Juvéderm Volbella® is an injectable treatment formulated for lip augmentation and the correction of perioral lines (vertical lip lines) in patients 21 years and older. This crystal-clear hyaluronic acid (HA) gel works by attracting and binding water under the skin to temporarily plump the lips and smooth the appearance of lines surrounding the mouth.

The Juvéderm Volbella®? Treatment
To begin, the treatment area will be cleansed, and if needed, a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure the patient’s comfort. The Juvéderm Volbella® will then be injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle. This filler also contains lidocaine gel to further improve the comfort of the injection. Treatment may take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to complete.
Juvéderm Volbella® Aftercare
There is no downtime following Juvéderm Volbella® injections, so patients can feel free to return to their regular activities. Results will be immediately noticeable, and as swelling reduces, will continue to improve. It is recommended that patients avoid drinking alcohol for 24 hours after treatment, avoid massing the treatment area, and avoid drinking out of a straw for the best results. Dr. Aya-ay will provide patients with specific aftercare instructions to ensure prime results. With optimal treatment, Juvéderm Volbella® results can last up to one year.
