What is Juvéderm Voluma®?
Juvéderm Voluma® is a hyaluronic acid (HA) based dermal filler used to restore volume under the skin. As people age, the cheek area is one of the first to lose its youthful shape. This can lead to an aged appearance of sagging skin. This filler is an excellent option for restoring this lost volume. Juvéderm Voluma® is also an effective choice for chin augmentation to improve the chin profile.

The Juvéderm Voluma® Treatment
To begin, the treatment area will be cleansed, and a topical numbing cream may be offered to ensure the patient’s comfort. The Juvéderm Voluma® will then be injected directly into the cheek and/or chin area using a fine needle. This filler also contains lidocaine gel to further improve the comfort of the injection. In most cases, treatment will take less than an hour to complete.
Juvéderm Voluma® Aftercare
Following treatment, temporary mild swelling, redness, and bruising may occur. While there is no downtime, it is recommended that patients avoid strenuous exercise, direct sunlight, and alcohol consumption for 24 hours after treatment. Dr. Aya-ay will provide each patient with specific aftercare instructions to ensure optimal results. Juvéderm Voluma® can last up to two years in the cheeks and one year in the chin.
